When you’re giving it your max effort out of the start gate, you need to know that your shoe won’t pull out of the pedal. The PD-MX70 has a special high retention mechanism that prevents unintended unclipping under extreme pedaling force. It also has 2 degrees of free float (compared with the standard 8 degrees) for a more fixed and stable feeling underfoot.

Stability and Control

A wide pedal-to-shoe contact area provides more support and grip when you’re pumping and pushing hard through the rollers. The slim platform and cage creates a low stack height for increased pedaling stability and efficiency. The integrated cage enhances control when you’re not clipped in - it also protects the binding mechanism against impact.
