Optimized for Harmony
SPD-SLR delivers a purer transfer of power through its seamless connection between the shoe and pedal. By eliminating gaps and wobbles, every watt goes where it should. Greater unity through total stability.
A key contributor to stack height is the span between the top of the cleat and the pedal axle centerline. SPD-SLR pedals and cleats get your feet closer to improve power transfer stability, and your connection to the bike.
The redesigned SPD-SLR cleat sets (SL100/110/120) no longer require spacers, making them up to 22% lighter than SPD-SL cleat sets (including cleats, screws, and spacers).
A wider catch zone and a narrower 10.5° engagement angle (vs. 15.5° for SPD-SL) deliver faster, more intuitive clip-ins.

The three new low stack height models use a familiar red, yellow, and blue color scheme to indicate the cleat float and pivot point.
Gray SL130 cleats let riders use SPD-SLR pedals with most non-SHIMANO 3-hole road shoes.
However, they don’t share the same low stack height or weight savings as the core lineup.
