Straps for narrow feet only
"Since these are the only cycling sandals on the market, there is nothing to compare them to. If you don't want to suffer from the heat in closed shoes in the summer, but at the same time want to enjoy the benefits of the SPD system, you have to be content with them. However, there is a significant reason why I cannot give these sandals a high rating. In my opinion, this is a fundamental design flaw, it's a small thing that is incomprehensible for such a renowned brand as SHIMANO. I mean the placement of the Velcro counterparts on the shoe for fixing the straps over the instep. This half of the Velcro is placed so unluckily that a reliable hold is only guaranteed to a user who has very narrow feet and a low instep. And it is necessary to take into account the wear of the Velcro with normal use and the loss of grip that occurs over time. The explanation for this shortcoming that I can think of is almost comical. Is this defect due to the fact that production takes place in China and Chinese people have small feet? This is not just my observation. If you go through reviews across stores, you will come across a number of similar experiences, where the user is often forced to unsew the bottom part of the Velcro and sew it to another - correct place."
