Outstanding

"These are tremendous pedals. High quality, high performance, dual platform pedals. Had them installed on my Trek FX sport 5. Love these pedals. The best on the market for the price."

Excellent Product

"Love the dual sided pedals. As someone new to clipless pedals this really helps with clipping in. Love being able to ride in cycling shoes or street shoes."

Each side is fine, but getting in is still clumsy

"I've had single-sided pedals before, and they were lousy. Somehow, they always have the wrong side up. I'd hoped these would be better, since (1) both sides are useful (pins or cleats), and (2) other reviewers said they naturally hang in a consistent orientation. Allegedly, you can put your foot above it and slide back to rotate it to the pins, or forward to rotate forward to the cleats. That would be great! In my experience, this just doesn't work. They're very close to evenly balanced, so while they may hang loose at a stop, as soon as you press the right side 180 degrees down, the left side doesn't have enough weight to rotate, so it's upside-down when it reaches the top of the stroke. In other words, they're just as awkward as any other one-sided pedal. So each side is great, but getting my feet onto them is awkward. Unless you absolutely need the ability to ride with flats or cleats, and switch at a moment's notice, I would get a double-sided flat or a double-sided SPD. Or a pair of each, and swap as needed before your ride. One nice feature: the flat part of the shaft is wide enough that you can install these with an ordinary open-end wrench -- no special (thin) pedal wrench required. Also: these pedals come with a pair of SH-56 cleats, for some reason, not SH-51. I would have preferred the classic SH-51. So budget a little extra, if you know you'll want the standard SPD cleat."

Great Dual Pedal....

"Great pedals that looks sharp and are very sturdy. Enjoy the easy removal when coming to stops and easily reconnect without any issues."

G3Bugs (5/5)

Nice, looks very good, but could be better

"Nice pedals, but the flat side always gets on top when the shoe is off the pedal! This can drive you nuts when you are in urban streets with lots of stops."

Yaniv (4/5)

Very nice design!

"Very pleased with PD-EH500 pedals as replacement/upgrade for indoor IC4 bike. Use is mostly on clip side with both standard and M SPDs and the ease of use is a world of improvement over the JDM stock pedals on the Schwinn. Especially nice is the surface shape/contour for getting clipped/unclipped without the hassle of a flat surface pedal friction on shoes. Highly recommend for indoor biking on IC4/Bowflex C6 if using SPD cleats. Flat side with studs is also very useful for short warm-ups with regular athletic shoes."

Q&A

Are they strong enough for enduro / freeride ?
Hello Dan, We would not recommend these pedals for freeride or enduro as this can be a high-impact scenario with many pedal strikes and a pattern of wear which this pedal is not designed to handle.
What cleat set comes with this set of pedals?
Hello Michael, the SM-SH56 cleat comes included with the PD-EH500 pedal set.
