"When you tighten down, the overlap bunches up."
Designed For Comfort
Constructed using a seamless pattern of performance materials, the upper securely wraps your foot and reduces unwanted gaps or pressure points. Supple synthetic leather and lightweight TPU mesh keep you ventilated and cool, while the BOA® L6 dial allows you to make adjustments quickly and easily on the road.
Engineered For Stability & Power
Borrowing design methods used in pro racing shoes, the RC502 features a carbon-reinforced nylon midsole for impressive stiffness and rigidity. The lower stack height helps to create a more stable pedaling platform, reducing foot movement and increasing power transfer from rider to road.

Bottom line, " I'll keep this one"
"Good shoe for the value. Boa works as it is designed. However, the binding strap seems to be non functional - with respect to providing additional tightening and support. Result is lots of room and no snugness causing my feet have some minor float/slopiness when pedaling. Could be a sizing issue. I've tried 44 and 45 in the RC 300 series which neither were a good fit. So I moved up to RC502. Bottom line, this will work for my current cyling regimen - cardio riding 48- 75 miles a week."
Step Up from My Last Shoes
"I had a version down from these and the SH-RC502 a big step up without the huge price jump. The shoe feels stiffer and gives a little more power when pushing on those pedals!!!"
Fantastic shoe for the $
"Replaced my worn out Shimano shoes (approx 10,000 miles), with the RC 502. There was an immediate improvement in energy transfer from shoes to the pedals."

Great Show
"This is my second Shimano shoe, my 1st one lasted 7+ years. The first one was a 47 this was a 48 but I think it was more my feet, they stretched due to my age, I'm a baby boomer I ride over 65 miles per week. So they may be true to size or slightly smaller."
